On Saturday, March 19th, we held a beach cleaning by employee volunteers in Gamagori City. This activity was a joint event of Chari Cafe POTTER, NPO HAPPY PLANET, and our company. A total of 48 people, participated in this event, learned about plastic problems while eating delicious vegan morning at Chari Cafe POTTER and then picked up trash on the beach. In one hour of activity, we were able to collect 29 kg of trash such as PET bottles, cigarettes, food bags, socks, lighters, and brooms.
Gamagori City, Aichi Prefecture, announced in November 2021 that the city would aim to be a circular city. We are also thinking of realizing a circular economy by circulating carbon to reduce emissions and convert it into energy, and thus we have decided to hold a beach cleanup in Gamagori City, which has the same intention. We will continue various activities in the future.
