From February 2023, the food waste that is unavoidably generated from the employee cafeteria at our Komaki Factory will be used for biogas power generation. This is due to the effective use of food waste by Nippon General Food Co., Ltd., one of the companies that operates our company cafeteria. By methane fermentation of food waste, the generated biogas (methane) is converted into electricity.
We will continue to support these efforts to help create a decarbonized society rooted in local communities.
